All Saints, Okeover

The Church

The church is 14th century with a 15th century tower and contains many interesting monuments to the Okeover family. It is however a private chapel, not one of the churches of the deanery. Enquiries regarding access should be made locally.

Parish Records
Historic records of All Saints, Okeover have been deposited at Staffordshire Record Office, where they are available for consultation by the public. These include the parish registers of baptisms 1759-1930, marriages 1759-1814, 1831-1940 and burials 1759-1955.

A catalogue of these records is available in "Gateway to the Past" (http://www.archives.staffordshire.gov.uk) - the online catalogue of the Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Archive Service. The Archive Service's website (http://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/archives) provides further information on planning a visit to the office to consult records, should you wish to do so.
