The thirteen parishes of the Alstonfield deanery cover twenty-one churches and are divided into four benefices - Alstonefield, Waterfall, Ipstones and Longnor. They cover the rural parts of the Staffordshire Moorlands north and west of Leek and exist to serve the scattered communities of the Moorlands as well as those who come to this area on holiday seeking refreshment and renewal. Lovingly cared for by faithful and sometimes small congregations the churches of the Alstonfield deanery offer great beauty and peace, the opportunity to spend time in quiet prayer or to join in public worship.
